Samsung will introduce and launch the Galaxy S23 series in the first months of next year. On the other hand, the Galaxy S23 Ultra, the most anticipated model of the series, seems to make a name for itself with its camera capabilities. The latest information details the camera features of the Galaxy S23 Ultra.
Galaxy S23 Ultra 200 MP camera features
Samsung will equip the upcoming Galaxy S23 Ultra flagship with a huge 200 MP camera sensor. However, this sensor will not be sold to Motorola, Xiaomi and the like, it will have a pixel size of 0.64 microns, a pixel division resolution of 50 MP. Last year, Samsung launched the ISOCELL HP1, the industry's first 200MP image sensor with 0.64μm pixels, used in phones like the Motorola X30 Pro. This year, the company introduced the 0.56μm 200MP ISOCELL HP3, which reduces the camera module size by 20 percent, and was also featured in the Redmi Note 12 Pro Plus with another 200MP ISOCELL HPX sensor. However, the special 200MP ISOCELL sensor that Samsung will use in the Galaxy S23 Ultra is said to have 0.6μm pixels, 1/1.3" sensor size and f/1.7 aperture. This new sensor of Samsung can create 1.12 micron virtual pixels with 50MP resolution pixel divisions. Even at 12.5 MP, the size of 2.4 microns can be reached, so it performs much better in low light.
It is claimed that Samsung will keep the same hardware found in its predecessor, with possible improvements only on the software side. On the other hand, the Galaxy S22 Ultra is still one of the most powerful phones in the field of zoom. With the improvements on the software side, the Galaxy S23 Ultra can improve itself in this area. Therefore, the Galaxy S23 Ultra is expected to be used in the flagship of 10 MP 10x, f / 4.9 periscope telephoto lens, 10 MP 3x, f / 2.4 telephoto lens and 12 MP, f / 2.2 ultra wide angle cameras, except for the main camera sensor.
Additionally, according to a somewhat interesting rumor, the Galaxy S23 Ultra's front camera may be 10MP or 12MP. The interesting point is that the front camera of the Galaxy S22 Ultra had a resolution of 40MP. If the leak is true, Samsung may increase the pixel size and improve low-light performance. More information on this will be forthcoming in the coming weeks.
