Samsung is gearing up to launch the new Galaxy S25 series early next year. The South Korean tech giant anticipates that sales for its upcoming flagship models will surpass those of the Galaxy S24 series.
However, reports suggest that the company has slightly reduced its production targets for 2025. According to South Korean outlet The Elec , Samsung has set a production goal of 37 million units for the Galaxy S25 series. This figure is 2 million higher than the anticipated 35 million shipments for the Galaxy S24 series this year.
Samsung projects a modest increase in total smartphone shipments for 2024. The company aims to sell 229 million units next year, up from 222 million this year. However, this is 7-8 million below its October forecast. Additionally, Samsung plans to sell 7 million foldable phones in 2025, compared to the 6 million expected this year.
Meanwhile, a decline is anticipated in tablet and PC production. Samsung plans to lower tablet production from 27.3 million units this year to 24 million next year. Similarly, its PC production target will drop from 3.4 million to 3.1 million.
