Apple is expected to announce its M4-powered Macs this month, with a release on November 1. However, the unboxing of the 14-inch M4 MacBook Pro has already been revealed, showcasing the device's new features and initial benchmark results.
The new 14-inch MacBook Pro comes with a 10-core M4 chip, whereas the M3 chip version had an 8-core CPU. According to Geekbench 6 results, the M4 chip is up to 25% faster than the M3 chip. The MacBook Pro scored 3864 in single-core and 15288 in multi-core performance. The device is reported to have 16GB of RAM, but it's unclear if this is the base model or a customized version.
The M4 MacBook Pro will have three Thunderbolt 4 ports, compared to the two Thunderbolt 3 ports on the M3 version. Additionally, the Space Black color option, which was previously limited to the M3 Pro and M3 Max models, will now be available in the base model.
Apple is expected to officially unveil the M4 MacBook Pro at the end of October
