Why Were Users Unable to Access Their Apple Notes Archive?

After recent updates to the iCloud user agreement, some users began reporting difficulties accessing archived content in their Apple Notes app. Although the issue seemed related to the user agreement update, Apple did not release a direct statement.

Instead, Apple updated its support documentation to guide users on resolving the issue. The revised instructions recommend the following steps to recover deleted notes:

  1. Open the Settings app and tap on your name.
  2. Tap on iCloud and then Notes.
  3. Enable Synchronization.
  4. Go to the Notes app.
  5. If the issue persists, restart your iPhone, iPad, or Apple Vision device, and recheck the settings.
