Samsung Exynos 1330 and Exynos 1380 introduced

Samsung mentioned the Exynos 1330 processor when introducing the Galaxy A14 5G phone, but did not fully address its technical features. Now, Exynos 1380 has released this information along with its specs. Exynos 1330 and 1380 chips are 5G compatible and offer increased performance.

Samsung Exynos 1380 specifications

The Samsung Exynos 1380 processor includes 4 ARM Cortex-A78 CPU cores running at 2.4GHz, 4 ARM Cortex-A55 CPU cores running at 2GHz, and Mali-G68 MP5 GPU running at 950MHz. The 5nm processor supports full HD+ resolution and 144Hz refresh rate on the screen side, while LPDDR4x and LPDDR5 DRAM on the memory side are compatible with UFS 3.1 on the storage side. The built-in triple image signal processor can handle camera sensors up to 200MP at 64MP resolution with zero shutter lag. The NPU in this new Exynos processor can handle up to 4.9 TOPS. ISP also supports 4K 30fps video recording with EIS. HDR and real-time object recognition support is of course available.

With the built-in 5G modem, mmWave and sub-6Ghz network support, it reaches download speeds up to 3.67Gpbs and upload speeds up to 1.28Gbps. BeiDou, Galileo, GLONASS, GPS, WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, NFC, USB-C port support is available. This processor will be used in the Galaxy A54 5G phone.

Samsung Exynos 1330 specifications

The Samsung Exynos 1330 is Samsung's first entry-level processor to go through the 5nm manufacturing process. The processor has 2 Cortex-A78 CPU cores running at 2.4GHz, 6 Cortex-A55 CPU cores running at 2GHz and Mali-G68 MP2 GPU. This chipset also supports displays that offer full HD+ resolution, 120Hz refresh rate. LPDDR4x and LPDDR5 DRAM are compatible with UFS 2.2/UFS 3.1 storage.

On the camera side, the Exynos 1330 ISP supports cameras up to 108MP and can shoot 32MP images with zero shutter lag. It also supports dual 16MP + 16MP camera setup. It supports 4K 30fps video recording and HEVC, H.264 and VP8 codecs.

The built-in 5G modem offers a maximum speed of 2.55Gbps for download and 1.28Gbps for upload, with support for sub-6Hz 5G network. When we look at the connection options, unlike the Exynos 1380, there is WiFi 5 support instead of Wi-Fi 6. While this processor is available on the Galaxy A14 5G phone, it will also be featured in affordable Galaxy A series phones.
