Phone or bag? The world's first "smartphone-clutch" for $800.
The full-fledged launch of Honor V Purse took place in China, and the company revealed all the details of this exciting novelty and announced the start of pre-orders.
Honor V Purse has become the thinnest and lightest smartphone with a foldable screen. It is 8.6 mm thick when closed and 4.3 mm when open, and weighs 214 grams. Thus, it is even thinner than some of the monoblocks currently on the market.
The smartphone folds with the screen facing outwards, and the finish is reminiscent of a purse or wallet. Honor is betting that the Honor V Purse can be used as a fashion accessory, helped by customisable always-on display (AoD) screensavers.
Pricing for the Honor V Purse will start at $823 for the version with 16GB of RAM and 256GB of inbuilt flash storage. Open sales will start on 26 September 2023.
Key specs include a 7.71-inch OLED display with 2348x2016 pixel resolution and 120Hz frame rate, 8MP front camera, 50m 12MP main dual camera, Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G SoC, LPDDR5 RAM, UFS 3.1 flash storage, 4,500mAh battery and 35W charging support.
