Rich Miner, co-founder of Android, shared the images of the first Android phone. Here is the first Android phone dominated by green Google G1!
The T-Mobile G1, HTC Dream, also known as the Google G1, was the first commercially released Android phone and came a year after the first iPhone was released. Five months before Apple announced the iPhone, images of what the first Android phone might look like were shared. The visuals came from Rich Miner, co-founder of Android.
Hidden QWERTY keyboard
We have a black and neon device similar to the HTC Dream with its floating keyboard and physical keys. With this look, the HTC Dream made more sound than the final design. The keyboard is full neon; one of the most popular colors of that time. Green also appears in the Google logo in the upper left corner of the screen. The device has a lot of keys overall, including the @ sign and hardware keys for email. At the bottom of the phone are the answer, reject, home and back buttons. HTC Dream has a total of five keys. Miner says that they were working on two Android phones, Sooner and Dream, which were a BlackBerry-like device at that time. After the iPhone was released, the company focused on Dream.
