After 10 years of waiting and endless speculation, the day has finally arrived: a return to the bright neon lights and golden beaches that Vice City is famous for has been confirmed with GTA VI. Rockstar's official GTA 6 trailer showcased 90 seconds of in-game and cinematic footage highlighting next-gen graphics, improved character models, extremely powerful lighting, and a whole new evolution of American satire.

Rockstar also sent out a new press release from its communications team offering a few more details about the game. While the studio promised that GTA 6 will be the "most immersive GTA" ever, the studio's founder Sam Houser also made exciting statements. Houser said, "Grand Theft Auto VI continues our efforts to push the boundaries of what is possible in highly immersive, story-driven open world experiences." "It makes it happen," he said.

GTA 6 will take place in the province of Leonida, home to the neon-lit streets of Vice City and beyond. The story of the game will progress with Lucia, the first female character in the main role of the GTA series, and an unknown male character (possibly Jason). Rockstar wants to share more GTA 6 images and details in the coming months. Meanwhile, GTA 6 will be released on new generation consoles in 2025.
