Today, OnePlus introduced its new flagship device, the OnePlus 13. This phone has been a topic of discussion for quite some time and brings many innovations and improvements to the table, all at a mid-range price point. Here are the pricing and specifications for the OnePlus 13...
The new OnePlus 13 features a 6.82-inch BOE-manufactured LTPO AMOLED panel on the front. This panel, protected by Crystal Shield technology, boasts a resolution of 1440 x 3168 pixels, a peak brightness of 4,500 nits, support for Dolby Vision and HDR10+, and a variable refresh rate ranging from 1 to 120Hz. Additionally, it has a 2.5D curved design on all four sides compared to its predecessor.
Supported by an aluminum frame, the OnePlus 13 comes in at 210 grams and has a thickness of 8.5mm. It is also presented with an IP68/69 rating (water-resistant up to 1.5 meters for 30 minutes). The device is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite processor. Snapdragon 8 Elite features 2 high-performance prime cores running at 4.32 GHz and 6 performance cores that can reach up to 3.53 GHz, making it an 8-core processor.
Qualcomm has departed from standard ARM designs in its new mobile processor and used its own developed Oryon cores. The processor includes industry-leading 24 MB L2 cache and support for 5,300 MHz LPDDR5X RAM. On the graphics side, it features an updated Adreno GPU that provides enhanced ray tracing performance, with a 40% increase in performance and power efficiency.
This device offers 12GB/16GB/24 GB LPDDR5X RAM and storage options of up to 1TB UFS 4.0. Additionally, it features a 9925mm² VC heat dissipation system and a 6,000mAh battery pack. Furthermore, this capacity supports 100W wired and 50W wireless charging. As a result, it can achieve 0-50% in 13 minutes and full charge in 36 minutes.
The OnePlus 13 has three 50MP cameras on the back, branded with Hasselblad. The main camera uses the OIS-enabled Sony LYT-808 sensor. In addition, there is a 3x optical zoom and OIS-equipped 50MP f/2.6 periscope telephoto sensor. Lastly, there is also a 50MP 120Ëš ultra-wide sensor that can be used as a macro camera.
The OnePlus 13 will be released in China with ColorOS 15, based on Android 15, and in international markets with OxygenOS 15. Available in White, Obsidian, and Blue color options, other features include Bluetooth 5.4, Wi-Fi 7, a mobile gaming-specific 4D vibration motor, and a three-stage alert slider.
The base model of the OnePlus 13 (12GB+256GB) will be priced at $632. The 12GB+512GB version will be $688, the 16GB+512GB version will be $744, and the 16GB+1TB version will be $842. The phone will be available for sale in China starting November 1. A global release is expected in early 2025.
