New details emerge about the foldable iPhone

New details have emerged regarding Apple's foldable screen iPhone model. Foldable iPhone prototypes have been produced but do not meet Apple's expectations.

As you know, the trend toward foldable models in the smartphone market is growing every day, and Apple has yet to join this race. However, we have been hearing about the foldable iPhone for a long time. Recently, Bloomberg analyst Mark Gurman shared some new information about why the foldable iPhone has been delayed. The foldable device still does not meet Apple's standards.

The foldable iPhone will be delayed

Some of you may remember that a few months ago, there were also negative reports about the foldable iPhone. According to rumors, prototype screens supplied by Samsung Display did not meet strict quality standards, and the project was temporarily halted.

Mark Gurman, in a post on X, stated that the foldable iPhone prototypes have visible wrinkles. As you know, the foldable iPhone is expected to be the best device Apple has ever produced. Therefore, it’s clear that it won’t be cheap, and more time is needed to meet the company’s standards.

This news is not surprising. Two hurdles that Apple has struggled to overcome for some time are the durability of the screen and hinge. Since a solution has not yet been found to eliminate the wrinkle when the device is fully opened, the launch of the foldable iPhone continues to be delayed. It's worth noting that even Samsung, a leader in the foldable phone market, has not solved this issue with its Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Flip 6 series.

Of course, the visibility of the wrinkle has been significantly reduced, but under certain lighting conditions, it’s still visible to the naked eye. Considering Apple's focus on premium products, the wrinkle will be seen as an undesirable flaw in the foldable iPhone.
