Exciting Features Coming to iPhones with iOS 18.3

Apple has released iOS 18.3 RC for developers and tech enthusiasts. This update is packed with exciting features, especially for iPhone 16 users.

The iOS 18.3 RC version is now available for both developers and public beta testers. Likely to be the final beta before the general release, Apple has shared the official release notes for the first time.

What’s new in iOS 18.3?

This update focuses on artificial intelligence features. The long-anticipated visual AI tool is finally making its debut with iOS 18.3. It also addresses several system bugs. Key features include:

  • Add events to Calendar from posters or flyers

  • Easily identify plants and animals
     

• Notification Summaries (iPhone 16, iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro Max)

  • Manage summary settings directly from the Lock Screen

  • Updated style with italicized text and glyphs for clearer differentiation
     

• Bug Fixes

  • Fixed an issue where tapping the equals button in the Calculator would repeat the last operation

  • Resolved a problem where the keyboard disappeared when initiating Siri with typed requests

  • Corrected an issue where Apple Music kept playing until the song finished, even after closing the app
