Samsung, the technology giant from South Korea, continues to provide exciting updates about its highly anticipated flagship series, the Galaxy S25. The most intriguing question revolves around the chipset.
The eagerly awaited Galaxy S25 series is expected to launch in early next year, reigniting discussions in the tech world. TM Roh, the head of Samsung Mobile, recently hinted at the potential use of Qualcomm's newly unveiled Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset in the Galaxy S25 series. Although he didn’t directly mention the S25 series, there are rising expectations that especially the Galaxy S25 Ultra model will be equipped with this powerful chipset.
The Snapdragon 8 Elite is Qualcomm's latest mobile platform, offering significant advancements for demanding tasks such as gaming and multitasking. Compared to the previous generation Galaxy S24 Ultra's Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, the new model is expected to show a 40% increase in GPU performance and a 35% improvement in ray tracing capabilities. Additionally, a 44% increase in power efficiency is anticipated, promising considerable enhancements in battery life.
The chipset's advanced features in artificial intelligence are also noteworthy. With a 45% boost in NPU performance, users are expected to experience a smoother and faster performance. Moreover, the Snapdragon 8 Elite's AI-assisted image processing capabilities are likely to enhance photo quality significantly. These advancements will facilitate smarter image processing, real-time scene optimization, and advanced photo editing features, especially in the Galaxy S25 Ultra model.
The Galaxy S25 series is also expected to introduce design innovations. It is anticipated that the series will have a slimmer profile compared to the S24 models, with rounded corners on the Ultra model for a more ergonomic grip. These design changes aim to make the device aesthetically more appealing.
On the camera front, the series is expected to feature a 200 MP 1/0.98” sensor, f/1.7 aperture, and a 24 mm lens. Additionally, wide-angle and telephoto lenses are also predicted to be part of the device. With the latest innovations from Qualcomm, the Galaxy S25 series is expected to capture sharper and more detailed images in every lighting condition.
With all these features, the Galaxy S25 series, particularly the Ultra model, is poised to stand out with its performance and AI capabilities.
