New features coming to Instagram Threads have been announced

According to a document leaked through the social media platform, those who want the DM feature to come to Instagram Threads will not wait long. Threads, direct messaging will come in an upcoming update. However, since Threads is linked to Instagram, it's unclear whether it will allow cross-platform messaging or whether the messages will remain on Threads.
