Microsoft found watchOS unsafe

Another third-party app has been removed from the watchOS App Store. This time, Microsoft announced that the two-step verification app Microsoft Authenticator will no longer work with the Apple Watch.

Microsoft: watchOS does not meet our security standards

Microsoft announced on its support page that watchOS support will be discontinued after the update to the Microsoft Authenticator iOS app as of January 2023. Apple Watch users will no longer be able to use the app on their watch. The company claims that the decision to deprecate the watchOS app was due to the Apple Watch operating system being incompatible with the Authenticator security features. Microsoft warned those who still keep the app on their watch to delete it. It should be noted that application support is limited to watchOS and can continue to be used on iPhone and iPad. Microsoft Authenticator, which allows users to easily log in to their Microsoft accounts and supported applications, and also saves them from waiting for SMS by generating a one-time use code, can be downloaded for free on the App Store. It supports devices running iOS 14 and above.
