Meta has announced that its artificial intelligence assistant Meta AI has surpassed 500 million users. CEO Zuckerbergaims for it to become the “most-used” assistant by the end of 2024.
The parent company of Facebook and Instagram, Meta, has made new progress with its artificial intelligence model Meta AI, introduced last year. Continuously updated since its debut, Meta AI has now achieved a significant milestone, according to Mark Zuckerberg.
Meta aims to lead the AI race that began with ChatGPT, and its AI model, Meta AI, has already surpassed 500 million users. According to Meta’s earnings announcement, the company’s AI solutions not only enhance user engagement but also impact the corporate side.
As a result, AI-supported content recommendations on Facebook and Instagram have increased users' time on these platforms by 8% and 5%, respectively. Additionally, advertisers are heavily utilizing Meta’s generative AI tools; over 15 million ads were created using AI just last month.
Another major move by Meta in the social media space has been Threads. Zuckerberg stated that the user base of the app is approaching 275 million monthly users, with about a million new sign-ups daily.
Furthermore, it’s said that the company has been working on its own AI-powered search engine, which would reduce its reliance on Google and Microsoft Bing.
