MSI MEG 321URX: World`s first AI gaming monitor - $1,699.99

MSI introduced a number of new monitors at Computex 2024, but the MSI MEG 321URX will grab most of the headlines due to its AI capabilities. This monitor creates an advantage in games with artificial intelligence.

MSI introduced a number of monitor models at Computex 2024, but the most notable among them was the MSI MEG 321URX. This new monitor provides significant advantages to gamers, especially by adding artificial intelligence to the competitive gaming industry. Dubbed the world's first true gaming AI monitor, the MSI MEG uses a feature called ‘SkySight’ to help you automatically detect the position of the enemy and display it on the screen.

If a feature that shows the enemy's position in the game on the monitor sounds like cheating, that's probably because it is. SkySight works by analysing the on-screen mini-map to see where enemies are coming from. It's unclear which games will allow it, but developers can choose to block the implementation.

This new technology was first seen at CES 2024 but is rumoured to be undergoing some changes. According to MSI, SkySight uses an AI engine to scan the game being played and provide additional information to the player. The example shown at Computex 2024 used Monster Hunter games. Here, Sky Sight analyses the mini-map and provides real-time notifications to the player via an intuitive HUD.

MSI is reportedly being careful to choose which games SkySight will be active in. Officials say they are staying away from competitive games like Valorant, Counter Strike and Apex Legends. At CES, we saw this feature demonstrated on League of Legends.

In the meantime, the monitor's basic features have improved considerably. The MSI MEG 321URX uses a 4K, QD-OLED panel that supports HDR 400 and FreeSync Premium Pro. The 0.03ms panel also offers a 240Hz refresh rate. Console gamers are not left out either, as the monitor features HDMI 2.1 ports with 120Hz support, VRR and ALLM. The monitor also features OLED Care 2.0 to prevent screen burn-in. The MSI MEG 321URX is priced at $1,699.99, but a release date has yet to be announced.
