Instagram now allows users to share live locations with friends, similar to WhatsApp's feature. But how do you share your live location on Instagram?
With this new feature, Instagram lets users share their real-time location with friends. Although available on other platforms, it’s new for Instagram. You can share your location with a friend for up to an hour and also pin a location on the map to coordinate meet-ups.
Instagram states that live locations can only be shared through direct messages with individuals or group chats, and each location share expires after one hour. The feature is off by default and is only visible to the chat participants, with no transfer to other chats. Instagram recommends sharing locations only with people you know in real life.
Instagram has released hundreds of new stickers to add color to your DMs when words aren’t enough. You can now use favorite stickers in messages. Additionally, you can personalize DMs by adding nicknames for yourself or friends. Nicknames only appear in DMs and don’t affect other usernames. You have full control over nicknames, changing them whenever you like, and limiting them to people you follow or direct chats.
