Elon Musk does not stop! Twitter continues to bleed

The popular micro-blogging site Twitter turned to austerity policy right after it was acquired by Elon Musk, and thousands of people were laid off. Twitter has now entered a new round of layoffs, the New York Times reported late Sunday. Twitter reportedly laid off at least 200 employees, or about 10 percent of its workforce. These layoffs have affected product managers, data scientists, and engineers involved in machine learning and site reliability that help keep various features of Twitter online.

Twitter reportedly had 2300 active employees last month, and that number continues to decline. In the social media channel, which was bought by Musk for 44 billion dollars, 3700 people were laid off in November. Musk wants to make Twitter monetized or sustainable, but adversity with advertisers is reducing profitability. Therefore, new sources of income are sought, including a Blue subscription. During this process, employees are terminated in order to compensate for the decrease in income.
