DxOMark experts have published test results on the camera performance of the Huawei Mate 50 Pro. The smartphone, which was just launched in Europe, took the first place in the global ranking with 149 points. The device outperformed all smartphones tested by DxOMark in all conditions, such as outdoors, indoors and in low light.
The Huawei Mate 50 Pro has a 50-megapixel main camera with optical image stabilization and variable aperture (adjustable from f/1.4 to f/4.0). The camera system includes a 13-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens with f / 2.2 aperture and a 64-megapixel telephoto camera with optical image stabilization with f / 3.5 aperture.
Advantages and disadvantages
Advantages of the flagship camera; It features wide dynamic range in both stills and videos, a high level of image detail, nice bokeh, fast and accurate autofocus for stills and videos, good noise control and beautiful colors in bright light.
The disadvantages are listed as slight white balance distortions, differences between the preview and the shooting result, complex scenes are sometimes shot in slow motion, and differences in sharpness between frames can be seen in the video. Right after the Huawei Mate 50 Pro, which took the first place, in the second and third places are the Google Pixel 7 Pro and Honor Magic 4 Ultimate, each with 147 points.
