How to Use Double Tap on Apple Watch?

By double-tapping your thumb and index finger together, you can answer or end calls, play or pause music, and much more. Double Tap is enabled by default in watchOS 10.1, so there's no setup required.

İmportant: You can't use Double Tap when the AssistiveTouch accessibility features are enabled. It's one or the other. So, if you want Double Tap, you'll have to disable AssistiveTouch in the Settings app.

The actions that Double Tap can perform include:

  • Play or pause music
  • Answer or end a phone call
  • Start or stop a timer
  • Open a Smart Stack
  • Snooze an alarm
  • Respond to a text message
