A study by Atlas VPN revealed that Google Chrome is the most vulnerable internet browser. Based on the VulDB database, the report shows that 303 vulnerabilities were detected in the popular browser from January 1 to October 5, 2022. Mozilla Firefox is in second place, with 117 vulnerabilities discovered since the beginning of the year. Microsoft Edge and Safari are third and fourth, with 103 and 26, respectively. Opera is the most secure browser of the year, with not a single security vulnerability in the said date range.
How is the situation at all times?
Google Chrome is in the first place and Opera is in the last place in the ranking made by taking into account all time. In other browsers, there is a ranking change. Safari moves up to third place, while Microsoft Edge regresses to fourth place. Of course, it should be kept in mind that rankings may depend heavily on the popularity of browsers.
