Samsung Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition sold out in just 6 minutes after its third release. Previously, it sold out in 10 and 5 minutes, setting new records each time.
Samsung launched the highly anticipated Galaxy Z Fold SE in October. According to sales figures from South Korea, the new model has exceeded the achievements of the Galaxy Z series. After its third launch, Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition sold out in a mere 6 minutes.
According to Newsis, a Korean media outlet, Samsung’s third batch of the Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition sold out in just 6 minutes. The second batch sold out in 10 minutes, and the first in just 5 minutes, marking a new milestone for the Galaxy Z series.
Detailed sales numbers have not yet been released. It’s worth noting that the Special Edition is available only in South Korea. Recently, a rebranded version for the Chinese market, the Samsung W25, was announced. The W25 (and W25 Flip, based on the Galaxy Z Flip6) became available for pre-order last week in China and will go on sale on November 15.
The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition is thinner than the Z Fold6 (10.6 mm folded, 12.1 mm unfolded) and features larger screens (8.0-inch main, 6.5-inch cover, 7.6-inch main, 6.3-inch cover). Powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, it includes a 200 MP primary camera, Wi-Fi 7 connectivity, and S Pen support.
Currently, there’s no indication that Samsung will release the Z Fold Special Edition in other markets, and with the Z Fold 7 launch approaching, the wait for broader availability may continue.
