From February 15, the IMEI number of mobile phones brought to the country by individuals for personal use and not declared at the customs authorities will not be registered by the registration center of the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport. The declaration you will make can be submitted to the customs body in writing or electronically through electronic kiosks, as well as the e.customs.gov.az portal or the "Smart Customs" mobile application. has been in force since 2015, but now it will be implemented with stricter control. From February 15, if you do not declare the device you brought from abroad to customs and pay the fees (the IMEI code must be declared here), you will not be able to register the IMEI of that device in the country. brought to the country and sold at a cheaper price, the smartphone market will suffer a serious blow.
According to the law, each person can bring goods worth up to 800 dollars into the country duty-free. That is, if the smartphone you buy is less than 800 dollars, it must be declared at customs. Otherwise, it will not be registered in the country.
It should be reminded that according to Part 9 of Appendix No. 1 of Decision No. 305 of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated October 14, 2013, mobile phone devices imported from abroad must be declared to the customs authority.
