File upload feature has arrived in ChatGPT

Popular artificial intelligence chat bot ChatGPT continues to evolve with new capabilities. It looks like OpenAI now allows ChatGPT Plus members to upload and analyze files.

OpenAI is currently rolling out new beta features for ChatGPT Plus members. Subscribers report that the update includes multimodal support, as well as the ability to upload and work with files. Essentially, users won't have to select modes like "Browse with Bing" from the GPT-4 drop-down menu, instead it will be guessed what the user wants based on context.

New feature for ChatGPT Plus subscribers

With new features being added to the ChatGPT Plus service that anyone can use, it may take a few minutes for a file to be uploaded and ready for analysis. Once the process is complete, the chatbot can do things like summarize data, answer questions, or create data visualizations based on prompts.

The chatbot is not limited to just text files. We can say that uploading files opens new doors. On Threads, a user posted screenshots of a conversation in which he uploaded an image of a capybara to ChatGPT and asked the tool to create a Pixar-style image based on it via DALL-E 3. DALL-E 3 integration has already come to ChatGPT in the past weeks, and this usage obviously offers very different usage scenarios. It is now much easier to produce artistic works based on desire, as in the example of the capybara.
