This Nokia smartphone takes better photos than iPhone 14 Pro!

The YouTube channel WillitbeatNokia compared the shooting quality of two very different smartphones, one 10 years old and the other just recently released. The channel owner published a video comparing the cameras of the Nokia 808 PureView with the new iPhone 14 Pro. Nokia 808 Pureview was launched in 2012. The smartphone has a single 41-megapixel rear camera (Carl Zeiss). On the other hand, the iPhone 14 Pro, which debuted in late 2022, has a 48-megapixel main camera. Comparative features are as follows:

Nokia's phone has a larger sensor size and a smaller aperture. In addition to optical image stabilization, the iPhone 14 Pro features Apple's neural network technologies for photo post processing.

Shots taken in daylight are too close to each other

Interestingly, the shots taken in daylight appear to be quite close to each other. Frankly, we can't say that Nokia lost here by far. On the contrary, the Finnish company's 10-year-old flagship took more natural photos in some frames than the iPhone 14 Pro

As the channel owner stated, the main advantage of the Nokia 808 PureView is that it offers good detail in daylight photos. At 2x zoom, the iPhone 14 Pro moves away from photo realism as it tries to reveal the details softwarematically. Nokia, on the other hand, does not have any traces of photo processing. At the same time, the detail and clarity of distant objects is usually better on the iPhone, but not always.

- iPhone 14 Pro makes a difference when it gets dark

When it gets dark, the iPhone 14 Pro takes the lead thanks to night mode and artificial intelligence algorithms: photos become sharper and clearer. We see that there is occasional noise in Nokia. As a result of testing, the iPhone 14 Pro and Nokia 808 PureView scored the same as 17.5. According to the benchmark, low-light photos become the iPhone's advantage, while Nokia offers better detail in daylight. So, do you agree with this conclusion?
