Donald Trump`s Facebook and Instagram ban is lifted!

Meta announced a while ago that it will allow former US president Donald Trump to return to Facebook and Instagram. The social media giant suspended and banned Trump's accounts on platforms two years ago.

Meta announced in a blog post that it will be reinstating Trump's accounts in the next few weeks. In addition, Meta also issued a warning. Trump announced that if he violates Meta's content policies once again, an additional suspension of one month to two years "depending on the severity of the violation" will be imposed.

As part of Wednesday's announcement, Meta updated its policies to take into account content that does not explicitly violate its rules, but that could encourage violent or harmful behavior similar to the January 6 events at the Capitol. It was said that the post would be restricted so that such content would not be shared and spread on Facebook and Instagram.

More than a year after being banned from Facebook, Instagram and Twitter, Trump launched his own social media platform, Truth Social, in February 2022. When Trump announced that he would once again run for the presidency of the USA, it was on the agenda that these bans would be lifted.
