The question of when Apple Vision Pro will be released has been clarified with the official statement from Apple. Apple's first virtual reality (VR) glasses release date and pre-order date were also announced.

Apple Vision Pro release date and price

Apple Vision Pro will be available in the US on 2 February. VR headset pre-orders will begin on 19 January. The price of Vision Pro is $ 3,499.

The Apple Vision Pro features 4K displays and a switch on the side of the headset that toggles between augmented reality and virtual reality. It features a dual-chip setup with Apple's M2 chip and the new R1 chip, which processes data from onboard sensors, cameras and microphones. The headset supports eye, head and hand tracking, allowing the user to navigate the interface without a controller.

Apple promoted the headset as a way to interact with familiar apps such as FaceTime, Photos, and Movies, as well as a way to watch spatial videos recorded with iPhone 15 Pro. This integration is made possible by running Apple's new operating system, VisionOS, which Apple says works with most iPhone and iPad apps without any additional work from developers.

Judging by the demo videos, the Apple Vision Pro offers an impressive experience, but the headset will only be available in the US.
