Audi has stopped advertising on Twitter!

Food company General Mills, Oreo maker Mondelez International, Pfizer Inc. and Volkswagen, according to sources close to the subject, Audi joined the giant companies that temporarily stopped Twitter ads after the company was bought by Elon Musk. The fact that Elon Musk makes radical changes in Twitter and has different ideas about content control creates uncertainty. Some of the companies we mentioned above, worried about stopping in this uncertainty environment, announced that they would not advertise on Twitter for a while. Audi and food company General Mills were the last companies to announce that they stopped their Twitter ads. Some time ago, General Motors decided to stop Twitter ads. The number of these companies and advertisers continues to increase. Because the manager of a large advertising agency has stated that about 20 of his customers have temporarily stopped their Twitter spending. So much so that the recent uncertain structure of Twitter, which is already a platform with ups and downs, does not make it attractive in the eyes of advertisers compared to platforms such as Google and Meta.

On the other hand, Elon Musk continues to meet with various advertising companies, especially WPP PLC, the world's largest advertising company with customers such as Coca-Cola, Unilever and Google. In the meetings held, it is emphasized that Twitter is safe for advertisers and will be safer in the future with the removal of bots.
