Apple released iOS 18 beta 3 for compatible iPhones on 8 July. The new iOS 18 beta brings minor changes to the home screen and lock screen.
Apple has released iOS 18 beta 3 update for developers and curious users. The new iOS 18 beta brings dark mode to third-party app icons. There is also a new dynamic option for those who like iOS 18 wallpapers.
iOS 18 beta 3 automatically changes all app icons to dark mode with a single tap. Most app icons with white backgrounds are converted to black icons, and some of them are faded in colour. To use icons in dark mode, long press on the home screen, tap edit, tap customise and select dark mode.
iOS 18 third beta brings the dynamic option to the wallpaper. When the dynamic wallpaper is selected, the colours change automatically throughout the day. It is a nice option for those who like the new wallpapers that come with iOS 18 and those who are undecided about the colour choice.
In the Messages application, emoji, memoji and stickers are all combined into a single interface. This interface can be navigated using small icons at the bottom of the screen. There are icons you can use to access stickers or memojis. You can create both stickers and memoji from this interface, and you can use stickers directly in your messages as you can use emojis.
iOS 18 beta 3 update is 1.18GB in size. To install the update, you need to register for the Apple beta programme and select iOS 18 developer beta on the update screen. iOS 18 beta download and installation steps can be found here.
