Mac users who browse with Firefox can now access their iCloud passwords more easily. Apple has officially launched the iCloud Passwords extension for Firefox.
With the iCloud Passwords extension, passwords saved in the iCloud Keychain are securely and automatically filled when logging into websites on Firefox. Any new passwords created in Firefox are also synced with iCloud Keychain.
It's important to note that this extension is available for Mac users. On Windows, the iCloud Passwords extension can be used with Chrome and Edge browsers. Additionally, the iCloud program for Windows is available.
Apple, with iOS 18, iPadOS 18, and macOS 15, introduced a dedicated Passwords app, which simplifies access and management of all saved passwords, login credentials, and authentication codes. The iCloud Passwords extension for Firefox works seamlessly with the Passwords app on macOS Sequoia and is compatible with macOS Sonoma and newer versions.
