Apple may announce updated iPads and Macs with just a press release, without a separate event. According to Bloomberg editor Mark Gurman, it seems unlikely that the Cupertino company will hold a launch in October.
Here are the devices that Apple plans to launch this year:
- Mac mini with M2 and M2 Pro processors
- 14 and 16-inch MacBook Pro with M2 Pro and M2 Max processors
- 11 and 12.9-inch iPad Pro with M2 processor
- Apple TV with A14 chip
- Apple may quietly unveil new iPads and Macs See Full Size
Don't expect an iPhone-like event
Gurman believes neither of these devices will offer breakthrough improvements and most of the changes will be performance related. As a result, the odds of Apple holding a special event for it are extremely low. According to Gurman, Apple will promote the remaining 2022 products through press releases on its website. So we probably won't see the company host another big event in the style of the iPhone event this year.
