Apple faces a lawsuit from one of its employees. The plaintiff alleges that Apple forced the use of personal devices for work purposes and installed special software to monitor them.
According to the company’s policy, employees are required to use Apple devices for work. However, the work-issued devices are so restrictive that many employees are compelled to use their personal devices or link their work devices to personal iCloud accounts. To do this, employees must allow Apple to install software that grants access to everything stored on the device or iCloud.
The lawsuit claims that Apple's policies enable the company to monitor employees even outside of work hours. An employee from the advertising technology department has sued Apple, arguing that the company tracks personal devices. The plaintiff stated that they were forced to install software that allows Apple to access all data on their device and iCloud.
