Apple Intelligence to be enabled automatically with iOS 18.3
Apple has announced the release of iOS 18.3 alongside macOS Sequoia 15.3, bringing a major shift in how Apple Intelligence operates.
Previously available as an optional feature in iOS 18.1 and 18.2, the AI-driven system will now be enabled by default with this latest update.
From this version onwards, Apple Intelligence will automatically activate during installation on compatible iPhones, iPads, and Macs. Users wishing to disable it will need to adjust the settings manually.
The feature, introduced with iPhone 15 Pro, continues to be available for the iPhone 16 series. Although still in its beta phase, Apple Intelligence has received complaints regarding inaccurate notification summaries from major news platforms like BBC. In response, Apple has temporarily suspended this functionality for certain news and entertainment applications.
