While Android 15 continues to roll out, Google has already taken a leap forward by releasing the first developer preview for Android 16, tailored specifically for app developers.


What’s new?

  • Photo Picker Integration: Developers can now allow seamless sharing of selected photos and videos directly within their apps.
  • Health Data Enhancements: With FHIR support, medical records can be read and written efficiently, ensuring compatibility across electronic health record systems.
  • Privacy Updates: Improvements have been made to protect user privacy while refining advertising functionalities.


Installation Process:

For testing Android 16, Android Flash Tool is the recommended method. Follow these steps to install:

  1. Visit Android Flash Tool in your browser.
  2. Install the necessary Android USB drivers.
  3. Confirm the connection with the Flash Tool.
  4. Connect your phone to your computer and select the desired build for installation.
